I hear that the advice to train drivers if they see someone about to jump is "close your eyes". There's nothing they can do at that point, apart from saving themselves from horrible, bloody flashbacks.

I saw a train that had hit something (I really hope it was a deer or a moose) once - there was huge amounts of blood covering the front of the train. It's really not a pretty way to die.
