One must learn if you can be happy on your own before one may be happy with others.
If you are alone, use that time to reflect on yourself. For the things you discover you don't like, change what you can and learn to accept what you can't.
When you turn yourself back to the world, you may find that you are better suited to face it.
You may also discover that you are better suited for individual solace and are happiest on your own.
Alone doesn't always have to mean lonely.

I'm an introvert surrounded by extroverts. I cherish my alone time
It's like I said back in the comments of BRoFS two;
"Right now? In a word, no.
But... if my past is any indication, I'll be alright."
I do feel better than I did then, a bit of time and distance has given me some perspective. As I mentioned in a more recent BRoFS though, the darkness ebs an flows. A small bit crept back in last night.
These posts are in a way for me to try to express what I feel and try in some way to deal with them.
Sort of, I guess. That could be one way of looking at it.
Also, I am a bit older than the average here on this site. (Before you ask, all I will say is that I'm younger than I feel and older than I will freely admit.)
I remember what it was like when I was younger and even before the ghosts of those emotions returned recently, I looked around and saw some of those same things still present in those younger than I am.
I wanted to try and share a bit of wisdom, a bit of insight... maybe to make things just a little bit better for this generation of kids.
This is why I've started adding a comment to each BRoFS.
My presentation may be odd, but perhaps taken slightly more seriously from behind internet anonymity.
