We tell our kid Santa brings her toys and Mrs. Clause gives gifts as well. She gives things like arts and crafts and things to bake. We tell her that Santa gives gifts to all the little boys and girls to remember that Jesus was a gift to us. When she is old enough where she no longer believes in make believe she will know it was always us who got her the gifts. Cause think about it looking back as a kid do you say "When I was 8 Santa got me a ______ for Christmas." Or do you say your parents did it?
Let them believe in a magical man who thinks they are good and kind little kids. Think about the look on their face when they see Santa at a store, one day they will know it was you. Don't take that magical time away just so you can bost, everyone else will know you got the gifts, bost to them.
When I was young, I'm always confused wether Santa exist or not. Mostly because my parents keep telling me he is real but never actually giving me presents in that way.

And I thought he was just joking when he said his tweets were quality content. I shall follow him at once!
We always got one small but important gift from Santa and were told that he didn't need to get us lots of presents because we had parents who were able to get them for us and he needed to be sure kids who didn't got Christmas presents too.
Like socks and clothes and BASIC toys
