Okay so I have this colleague (50) who's super sweet but very religious. And she always tells me about her religious thoughts, god's almighty, we should be thankful forever, we're all sinners blah blah. And I always nod and agree (I'm an atheist/pastafarian). But when I told her I want to become a tattoo artist, she kept on going on about how we're perfect the way god created us, and how tattoos are a waste of money and ugly. Okay man, I don't make fun of your magical sky daddy, so leave my dream alone.
Sorry, just wanted to get this off my soul somewhere.
Most tattoos I've seen are a waste of money and ugly. So when you become an artist, please specialize in tattoos that are beautiful and totally worth it.
When my sister revealed to my dad that she got some tattoos she asked why he had never gotten one. He said "you don't put a bumper sticker on a Bentley" and walked away.

people give me shit about not having tattoos. apparently these people don't understand that people just like to criticize.
My uncle is always demanding that I get ink,"You're an old biker you need ink!" he yells.
I tell him I don't want to mar the perfection of this body.
Besides , I have a lot of tattoos, they're called "scars".
Some employers prefer people with ink and or piercings. They feel those people fit the culture better and/or provide the image they want to the public. Some people won't or are reluctant to date people without tattoos, people without tats are often seen as uptight, conservative, timid, or just "not cool." We have people who's only job is public image, and its lucrative. Everything you do is judged by someone, from how you speak to how you stand to how you choose to look. All of our choices send a message about us, and we are aware certain choices are perceived a certain way. We can choose to limit ourselves to how we want to be perceived, or we can choose expression knowing there are consequences for our actions and accepting that. Most of us will moderate the choice based on situational context. So ink or no ink, haters gonna hate, the world is not required to like you or support your choices, that's why theyre you're choices. You make em, you live with em good or bad.

That's the plan, I wasn't looking to be a shitty tattoo artist, thanks.
