If the Incredibles 2 is for the same generation of the first movie

Because they play on nostalgia. It might not even be as good as what we expect

You don't have to "play on nostalgia" to make good characters. The Incredibles was a kid's movie that centered on a grown man. It would be good if the characters aged, but it's not a mandatory thing in order to make a good movie.
