Till now, I still don't know if it's cannon

In response to the title, I'm pretty sure it became canon. There was a movie where they went to Japan, and it became canon towards the end of that movie. I think (and hope).

In the comics, romance between dick Grayson and starfire was very much canon. They almost got married. Then comic book drama happened, and they broke up.

Oh come on!
