It prevents Civil suits. Does nothing about Criminal law, which is what homicide happens to fall under.

Yeah that's literally the stupidest form of protesting in existence. They're pretty much asking to be hit when they make dozens of people late for work.
I've always thought that emergency responders should be immune to any consequences stemming from other's stupidity when responding to an emergency. That means cops, firemen, and amblances do whatever it takes to get to where they need to go, fuck everyone else.
Some local ordinances allow that. Officer in a village near here was responding to a call when he lost control and hit a vehicle that was stopped at a red light. The stopped driver was charged with failure to yield and his insurance had to cover the police car. There needs to be a middle ground.
Yeah, I don't know what the answer is, but if people die on your account, you should be ashamed on yourself. The news media could agree not to cover protests that engage in these tactics...
True, but it will lead to many negative opinions about them. It would be better to gain more sympathizers than enemies. A better reputation often leads to more followers
this law dose not mean you can just run the ass holes down it means you stopped/were trying to get through safely and one got hit by accident. if you gun it and run through them there will be an investigation and you will probably go to jail for vehicular homicide so be smart.
For getting there way they tried cheating they tried temper tantrum they tried looting and arson and violence and blaming it on the Russians none of it worked criminals are being shot even though they're black and trump is still president. With any luck the next form of protest will be mass suicide till then I just can't take them serious.
The Tennessee bill, SB944, would shield a driver from civil liability as long as the driver exercised “due care.” The language of the proposal does not define what “due care” means but notes drivers could still be found liable if the “actions leading to the injury were willful or wanton.” *hit them if you want but you could still face criminal charges*
Why the hell do they even block the road?
