Why *art classes are a waste of time and money

I had 4 years of art and my kid WHO IS 9 watches youtubers who do speed art and SHE can draw better than me!

Because just like with trades schools are only the first steps but it takes a shit ton of practice to master something. I've been welding for three years now (mostly in school environment) and ive learned much more from experiences outside of the school setting than i ever did while attending school.

I find the first one far more interesting, the second one is just an amateurs atempt to a photorealistic painting, not bad but also kind of boring (this is an opinion, not a fact).

The first one looks like an abstract painting of Dory

Well the paintings are different styles and conveying different things so it's kind of hard to do an honest comparison.

I think that both of them are bad paintings. Neither interesting nor well made. You may lack passion or talent or both. Dont give up yet! Be bold!
