Yeah. They replaced the Mandarin, the most iconic Iron Man villain, with extremis. The Extremis comic book arc was great, but they got all our hopes up for the Mandarin and let us down

To be fair, they do have a Marvel One Shot where they reveal that the Mandarin is actually a real guy who was pissed his name was used by an "act-tor."
Yeah the reveal sucked, but maybe we'll see the real Mandarin someday.
