That argument makes no sense. Think about it this way. There are the Jews. Along comes a dude names Jesus. The Jews split into two groups. One group thinks this guy is the messiah who will free them all, and the other group thinks he's fake. After his death, one of his followers named Paul starts a new religion. The first group starts to persecute the second. You can't say "Oh well Jesus was Jewish!" Like yeah? He can't be Christian if Christianity didnt exist
I think the guest downvoted you because they seemed salty over you calling him a Jew instead of Jewish ? Which I don't understand the issue but I'm not Jewish.
@chakun No my point is that your argument (Jesus was a Jew) makes no sense. The Anti-Semites are criticizing Jews for not following Jesus. For you to say "Jesus was a Jew" means that Jesus dif not follow Jesus, even though the following of Jesus did not become a religion until after his death.
Ive never seen blonde blue eyed Jesus
Even then, every culture changes his depiction. Kenya makes their Jesus black and China makes theirs Chinese. It's something about connecting with it more since he looks like you.

Being a straight white male is the fucking best thing you can be, and it takes a lot of ignorance to disagree. @diyrogue - just do a google pic search for Jesus Christ.
It's the best thing you can be in America, but even then that isn't even wholly accurate. So I guess according to you I'm ignorant.
Also, I said I'd never seen it because I've never seen or heard of it before this, not because I was saying it didn't exist because I've never seen it

In some asian cultures a chubby man is seen as a symbol for luck, there you'd have the chubby Buddhas, called happy Buddhas. This is seen in China (well, Taiwan rather) and Japan. Indias culture for example is more in favor of athletic men, and their Buddha statues look quite brawny.

This was purely informative post, and - in all modesty - absolutely accurate, while not in any way provocative or demeaning to anyone or anything. Why it is downvoted? I get it with my posting above that, which may trigger certain people. But this one here? Is it because this (these) person(s) hated my above post so much they decided to downvote this as well? I'm just curious, I want to check out and understand the vibe here and this feels kind of random.
The happy Buddha (or fat Buddha) is Hotei- a Chinese Buddha depiction.
The thin meditating Buddha depiction is an Indian Buddha - Siddhartha Gautama. It was from the latters teachings that Buddhism was founded.
