Well we are overpopulated in some areas. A way to stop that is have 1 or 2 kids only. That way you have replacements when you die. But some people have a shit ton of kids (my mom is guilty too) it's hard to keep numbers in check.
ya'll just need to practice safe sex and not rely on the pullout method. i mean yeah some people want tons of kids, but theres others who don't want any kids at all, like myself. we just need to even it out a bit without people squawking about their religious freedom when it comes to too many kids, or enforce women to have babies when they don't want to have children.
The Pope is basically and elected official within the Catholic Church. If anything he says contradicts the Bible, specifically the things Jesus stood for, then I believe he is wrong and he stands against the faith that elected him. That has always been my major grievance with the Catholic Church. I am a Christian and I think that they do Biblically unsupported things.
Neither. The Bible is a story book and the Pope has delusions of grandure which make him think a made up celestial being is actually talking to him. How can you believe either?!
@thethirdi
But the bible is supposed to be the indelible word of God, is it not?

But isn't the Pope supposed to be infallible?
@wiggleworm
I don't actually believe this stuff is real, I'm just trying to figure out the rules.
TL;DR, according to Catholic dogma, the Pope is the "Vicar of Christ," i.e. the representative of Jesus' word on Earth, supposedly an office passed down in a (mostly) unbroken line from Peter the apostle, of whom Christ said "on this Rock (pun on the Greek name "Peter") I will build my church."
