Chances are we will be use to it from hearing it our whole exsistance.
Just like when me and my family moved into a new house it had a built in smoke detector and every few minutes it would beep. At first we heard it everytime and drove us nuts. Well year goes by and we don't hear it anymore. Well my oldest brother who lived in Az. Finally came to visit and he is there for 2 houra and he flips out and says "O MY FUCKING GOD HOW DO YOU PEOPLE LIVE HERE!" We all laugh and say what are you talking about? He screams "ARE YALL DEAF THE FUCKING BEEPING O MY GOD MAKE IT STOP!"
We totally forgot about it.
There is so much noise going on in your head: breathing, blood pumping, innate sounds of endo and perilymph, etc. Your brain automatically ignores these sounds unless you really concentrate, in much the same way it ignores the sight of your nose and eyelashes unless you look specifically for them or you ignore how socks feel soon after you put them on. Sensory adaptation is the attenuation of response to a constant stimulus. Chances are good that most organisms would have developed a sense of hearing with a "blind spot" at the frequency range of the sun's noise.
