Faith in humanity restored.
Edit: also, the one with the neibour giving the recently dumped guy money for a strip club, I'm totally going to steal that and use it in a story one day,
I love random acts of kindness. Though in reality, people are always puzzled and sceptical if a stranger does something nice for them.
One day when I walked into town, all of a sudden it started raining really heavily, so I went into a store and bought myself a small umbrella and I was like "hey, what about all the other people who got surprised by the rain?". So I bought three more to hand them to strangers. But even though they were getting soaking wet, everyone was just giving me weird looks and no one wanted to accept an umbrella. :(
Another time when I was in town with my brother though, we bought several packs of soap bubbles and gave them to small kids as presents. The moms were quite sceptical and it made me sad to know, that if it was only my brother, without me, they would've taken their children by the hand and walk away. It's so hard for men to be kind to other people's children without being considered a pedophile.
My issue with this is that these are seen as oddities and rare among people. The fact that being kind to others is such a rare thing that people see a few and immediately think "faith in humanity restored" instead of "why isn't this the norm" is kinda sad
