He killed a person. As far as I'm concerned, that should get him life or death, not institutionalized.

It's the reasoning behind it that bothers me. It's one thing to kill a person, but to do it because you don't like the fact that they're moving in with their partner? That's not normal.

Killing people isn't exactly normal. We can't institutionalize every murderer, assaulter, or rapist out there.
