It was bad but what makes it worse is people saying "oh but they can do that" wtf. That can be changed. In Russia idk. That is harder to change. It is another country with a totalitarian goverment. although it is obviously horrible.
why isn't anyone talking about the gay concentration camps in russia? honestly, its gross how people are turning a blind eye to it

Because its another country and there's shit we can do about it without causing huge relation issues. We just bombed a country not too long ago. Let's tackle one problem at a time
I think people are getting outraged at the wrong thing, even if we only take into account the airline thing. People seem to get angry at UA for "overbooking" but I heard that overbooking wasn't the actual issue, the issue was that they needed to make space for their employees. Furthermore, UA didn't order the security guard to beat up a customer. Security guards work for the airport, not a specific airline. Also, again if we only take into account overbooking, UA isn't the only airline that does it. In fact, most (if not all) airlines do. So if anything, we should get angry at the shady practices of the industry itself rather than a specific company.
They beat, knocked out, and dragged a man out of his seat because they wanted to make room for 4 employees. His front teeth were knocked out, he suffered a concussion, was bleeding everywhere, and kept saying, "Please kill me," afterward. And United won't even issue an apology even though they know their ass is getting sued either way.
They technically cannot sue united. BTW not siding with them but i looked into it. Before you buy a ticket you are signing a contract which permits united to kick you off of the plane in a case of an overbook. Now they first go to money and a promise of a free reschedule. They then are allowed to use force to take them off the plane. This is permitted due to the plane technically being private property and you are then considered trespassing. Now I do agree the force used was overkill but he was also resisting arrest which was placed on him when he refused to leave. I in no way shape or form agree with it but the fine text is there he will more than likely lose the legal battle.
true im not saying i agree with it but im saying i do not see how united is responsible. They did not train or even hire the agents which took him off the plane in the way that they did. i think the blame should shift to the individual
Blame the victim for being illegally removed from a plane, recieving a concussion, being beaten bloody, having his teeth knocked out and now needing reconstructive facial surgery?
It was not illegal. The issue is he refused to get off united property and as defined in the text of the department of transportation They have the right to remove him from their property. This is trespassing and he was being placed under arrest. After insisting to stay in his seat otherwise resisting arrest the security which protocol states should be called to remove somebody brutally ripped him out. Even after this though he again resisted arrest and ran back onto the plane.
not blaming him but stating that United did everything that was protocol in that situation and is not responsible for the actions of the security force that was hired by the city of Chicago
Then the issue would then be did United have the correct protocols in place (which is a very sueable point)? Could this have been prevented and could it happen again? Because this was private property and United followed through with a chain of events that they themselves created, they could be seen responsible for any and all outcomes. True, United didn't do the actual harm, but I refer you to above; could this have been prevented and could it happen
it could have been prevented definitely but what im saying is it happened and according to the department of transportation they were allowed to move him off the plane involuntarily like all of you though I think the officer did it in a brutal way. So if this is a lawsuit about the brutality which I think it is it should be against the city of Chicago who hired and trained those security guards.
I find it hypocritical that 'we need to mind our business and leave other countries alone' unless gays/blacks are treated unfairly, then it is all 'we have to do something right now'. But I'll just smile and wave.
Syrian gays are getting burned alive. But that's also not my business. If I felt burning desire in my loins when a hot fellow Syrian passes by, i'd punch myself in groins and/or face. I put a greater value in me not burning alive, than expressing my fashion sense. I'd even get a big titted prostitute and banged her on a public square.
Syrian civilians of all ages, genders and orientations are being bombed, shot and gassed by an oppressive regime AND terrorists.
I think maybe we should fix that first, THEN work on the gay rights?

Call Trump and ask his boyfriend to maybe chill out a bit.
