I remember as a kid they used to be EVERYWHERE. Now I have to go to specific locations to find them

There was someone who moved to where I live where there are fireflies everywhere, and wherever they were from there weren't any fireflies so they never saw any, they were so confused as to why there were lights everywhere and why bugs were glowing

Their lights are quite beautiful, the bug themselves not so much. Kinda wasp-like appearance always scared me when i was little.
