That and... pneumonia. Nothing says 'welcome to life' quite like pnemonia.

It's based off the sect, not location. I think the sprinkling of water will cover most Catholic orthodoxies, but the whole on dunking happens in a lot of Baptist churches. I would bet good money that entire new schisms of Christianity have sprung up over differences in this one ritual.
Baptists do "dunk," but NOT babies. Baptists believe that baptism is something each individual needs to make, therefore is only done once someone can make their own decision. Also, Baptist baptisms (and other protestant denominations) are about people making a public commitment to their faith, unlike Catholics (who baptize infants as a form of salvation).

Ah. I think I knew that about the Baptists, same as the Mormons, you have to make the choice to join the church. At least I was right about the dunking. I was baptised united Methodist before I can even remember, so I guess that's what I am.
You are what you choose, no such thing as "inheriting" religion/faith/salvation from parents.

You are right. Even though a don't believe in invisible sky man, "Methodist" is an easier thought to convey than what I actually believe. So I just stick right with it. If I said I don't have a faith people lump me in with atheists, which would be inaccurate.
Don't keep us in suspense.
