A tie makes you look professional, that's the problem with visible tattoos. No one sees tattoos as criminal, but they are seen as unprofessional. If you're having problems getting a job, you probably should have got them in different areas instead. You can be professional and have tattoos, but dont tattoo things across your face, neck, and hands and blame others for seeing it as unprofessional. Your physical appearance plays a role in job interviews, showing up in sweats and a T shirt will likely lose you the job, but dressing professional will increase your chances of getting it. Your interviewer/ employer is allowed and will judge you based on your professionalism, so I wouldn't complain about "those who judge all the time".
Thank you, that is exactly right. I would also add that in the business world, which is every paid position, first impressions are paramount. No one cares that you may be the best for the job when every time the think of you they think of the tattoos first, what that might mean you are like, and then what you can accomplish. Until we have a complete cultural shift, which will likely never happen, this is what you should expect. Might not be what actually happens but it should be expected so move on and do your best regardless.
It might be that people judge those with tattoos, just like people with tattoos judge those with what they consider too many tattoos or poorly done tats or whatever. The really judgmental ones are the people who presume I must be judging them when I'm not.
Both have the potential to make you sexy
I'm talking about you, government.
