Well there's a reason for that. And I never listened to my mom and now I have visual snow. I see specks over everything and I get headaches and have to wear stupid glasses

there is no long time study who prove that vr googles will damage your vision. the only problem you maybe will get is, that the eyes will get problems with the focusing because they try to focus "far away objects" who are in reality not far away (because they are just displayed on the screen display and have all the same distance to your eyes). but there are guys who already invent technology to fix this problems by displaying the eyes images with differend focus points so this will no problem in the future anymore. AND scientist are working on a computer-brain interface who will fix it 100% because you then don't watch a display anymore.. you will get the data directly transfered in your brain. facebook and co. are developing this stuff right now so.. it's not really a problem in the future.

by the way -> thats how far they have developed the brain-computer interface at the current moment (they can let you "see" a light inside your brain) -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ru7HRkFNM7w
But still. My eye doctor said it was caused by over screen usage

what your doctor should say otherwise? "yeah, i don't know why your vision is damaged"? i think just by this you can't tell if it is really because the over-screen usage. my eye's are damaged too and they said the same, even if i didn't even used screens much.. so i think this is the normal response some doctors say if they don't know the exact reason for the vision problems. they even said to me my vision will get worse from year to year.. but it didn't.. so yeah.. doctors :P
