While you can't change the fact that you did, some people don't deserve an apology. It's like with getting offended. It doesn't really mean anything just because YOUR feelings got hurt. I've met people who say you hurt their feelings and try to guilt trip you with it, or you slightly hurt them once and they act like you broke their arm.
Would you care to explain, guest ? Or are you just going to make assumptions ?

Just because you didn't doesn't mean you have to acknowledge it, cause some people are just dumbasses. Like if I were to say "I don't like children, they're weird" and someone who overheard me goes into a rage about how their child is the best, and how insensitive I am for saying that about children. I don't have to care.
I think that's like @heyheyyouyou said above, that's a case of somebody being offended. Offended isn't really the same as being hurt, offense is more getting angry about something, being hurt is actually being emotionally hurt.
Also keep in mind that it doesn't make you special if your feelings "get hurt." It means nothing, except that you're human.
The real world and real life doesn't have safe spaces, so you better learn to deal with it. Grow some guts, look the offense in the eye and tell it to fuck off. I refuse to be so weak that your words alone will bring me down.
Awww, wookit the widdwe baby who finks it's too good for the standard principles of human interaction.

I can't help but think it's hilariously ironic that Louis C.K. said this.
Like I love Louis and wish he would do more stand-up, I just think it's funny.
It's more about deciding that it's a ridiculous reaction that outright deciding they're wrong about their own feelings. The feelings are real, they're just inappropriate for the situation.
