Smashing sugar produces sparks

Well sugar is a crystal. Perhaps it's just one of the ones that emits fractoluminescence.

It's a special wint o green one. Even the plant produces sparks when chewed.

I just rediscovered an old memory of mine. One of my teachers took the class on an educational camping trip thing a few years back, and one of the activities we did involved us going into a dark room, and chewing these mints. Everyone was just so amazed by the sparks that the mint would make. Such bittersweet memories of back when I was truly happy...

I was telling my husband about the ability of these mints to do this a few weeks ago. He had never heard of it and I thought I might have dreamt it.

It's like that because they smash it using Thor's hammer...
