No matter your age to lose a pet that is more than a pet still hits as hard as if a family member died because one did.

My dog has cancer in his throat and I cried like a little girl for a day when I found out. Haven't lost him yet and I still fell apart.

I'm 19. Got my golden lab since I was 10. She just got cancer in her lymph nodes. I don't know yet if it is operable. I only found out on monday, I've cried for hours every day so far.

Just take comfort that you haven't lost her yet and cherish every moment with her. That's how I'm getting through this period.

I lost my doggo this year on March 6th and a long time before my sub conscious was always saying she's not going to be around soon. She died age 12 she was me wee pup I still find it hard to when people talk about her she was like my best friend and now when I go to my dads and she's not there I just feel kinda empty. Sorry for the sadness
