first part is actually real, second part I may not believe...people are quick to victimize themselves to prove a point

*shrug* I got called a "nutcase that wants to ruin the class" when I asked a literature professor for a heads up before we read any sexually or violently graphic material.
Here is the things
We are different biologically
Mankind has developed over millions years in different areas that require different skills and body, ect to survive
I'm not a science person as well, I'm not that smart tbh
But you get what I mean
Also the world we are living in is sometimes just ridiculous
Feelings are now more important than facts
Cause some are hella butthurt
To the revived subject of the validity of the point: forensic anthropology uses measurements and traits from bone(s) compared against average ranges for a group from samples. These ranges can overlap and require interpretation, which is mostly provided by context. Some measurements can be so close between different groups as to make it almost impossible to have concensus (like with the "Kennewick man") and in anthropology bones are said "consistent with" a groups traits, not definitive. To the original issue- if we take "what she meant" we must also take what the picture meant, which isn't all skeletons are alike, but that external differences are arbitrary. In that context possible skeletal differences are not relevant in sociology- that is already called "phrenology." Facts are not racist but the facts we choose in a given situation can be seen as racist or show a racial agenda. I don't think she was being racist, just trying to be a smarty pants and disruptive to the curriculum.
I also took a biological anthropology class and the idea of biological race has actually largely been disproven. While it is true that people have different hair colors and skin tones it's scientifically impossible to to biologically group people by race because 1) no biological traits are exclusive to one group (white people arent the only people with blue eyes, African people aren't the only ones with kinky hair 2) people of the same racial group can look wildly different from one another (North Africans vs Central Africans vs southern Africans) 3) the idea of genetic racial traits WAS developed using racially biased methods and predicated on the intense belief in physical stereotypes (I.e. ALL white people must look like this so any self identified white person who doesn't look like this cannot be white). I can't speak for this story specifically but she IS factually incorrect. As for why this is still being used in forensic science, change is hard
Tl;DR: the science she's defending has actually been disproven so it's not just a bunch of bleeding heart hippies trying to shoot her down for being "mean".

Then why is there no black person with naturally blonde hair?
Melanesians are one prominent group of "black people" with natural blonde hair. In America many "black people" are born with blue, green, or hazel eyes and can have blonde, red, or brown hair and freckles. "Black" is a term applied to many people from vastly different locations and cultures and usually just means "darker skinned." In history and even in some countries today "black" is used to describe even mid tone islanders or Latinos/hispanics. Science often contradicts that which our own bias would hold as fact through observation, and our perception is limited to our own life experience- people didn't believe in germs because they couldn't see them. For forensics even finger prints are scientifically questionable, but as politics and necessity we use the best/only tools we have. There is no race, only culture and genetics.
Either way the fact still stands, skeletal structures in different regions aren't shakes the same exactly. A man from Nubian descent will have a different shaped skull than a man from the congos
Yep. And that is a fact that's plain to see in people of various races. It's why people with high cheekbones get asked if they are part native American. And why even if someone is white as paper you could tell that they have African descent in them by their facial features.
