China is the only other superpower in the world, we'll be trading first and second place with them for a long time.
And the EU is a collection of many nations that is on the verge of falling apart, they're only a match to the American economy until someone else leaves, and even if that never happens they will never be organized enough to be an economic threat.
The EU works in similar ways as the US does with states. It's a fact that the EU is economically tied with the US whether you think so or not. We also have a higher standard of living and from many perspectives are more free. You may have guns, but that's about it.
More free? There are nations where there is restricted freedom of speech, and just about nobody can own a gun. Germany is introducing laws to have kindergartners report their parents to the government, and Euro leaders refuse to call Islamic terrorism the threat it is. That all is aside from the fact that member nations didn't agree to be like US states, their autonomy and independence is being stripped away by the EU, that's why Britain left and why France came damn close to following suit.
The EU itself has no countries with restricted freedom of speech, not more than America. I recognize that we have problems here too, but we have it a lot better all in all. Also in Europe it works to have gun laws becuase we actually know how to take care of our citizens (except with immigration where it's going south). Then again we wouldn't have this immigration problem if the US wouldn't have been such a shit stain and invaded several countries, causing political imbalance resulting in increased activity of terrorism.
Germany alone will persecute people for symbols and words that America won't, and Americans don't want to be taken care of, we want to take care of ourselves.
.
Don't play the blame game. With France on your side of the fence, you just can't win that fight.
It's funny how you want to take care of yourselves when Europeans have it better economically. The reason Germany does that is because of their past, it will change with time.
.
Don't play the superiority game. As the US you can't win that unless it's by military force.
Your first point isn't even worth addressing.
.
As for your second, I believe that there used to be an empire in the middle east. One that stabilized the region rather well. This was before the US got involved in Europe or the middle east too. This empire was doing really well, even making ties with southern and central Europe. Until France decided they didn't like that empire and made it go away.

This deal is the single largest reason for the region being so massively fucked.
Which happened during ww1, I was talking about how the US took out the governments that had SOME control over the extremists and then left. That's what I'm talking about. You can't really compare Europe now to Europe then.
It happened during WW1, but it's still the root of most of the problems.
And those governments that had "some control" weren't any better. Not by a long shot.
You're right. We should've dealt with the bastards more thoroughly, but people insisted on treating them like soldiers or criminals, rather than the filthy animals they are. Still better than letting the old madmen have their way though.
Even still nobody can refute the fact that France and Britain started the mess in the first place.
The Ottoman empire was on the verge of collapsing either way. If you actually studied history you would know this. The problem is when the US stirred the pot in the middle east. That's when the refugees started pouring in.
He only "special needed" millions of dollars of his father's money.
