Ok story time lol
I grew up in a small town in Tx. And my grandmother ran a small cornor shop. Like a gas station but it didn't sell gas. Well one hot summer day the town's grave digger came in to buy a cold drink. The shop is only half a block from the cemetery. My grandma asked him why he always digs the graves during the day why don't he wait till night when its nice and cool. He mumbled a bunch of o no, no way, no how. So she laughed saying you know there isn't anything in that cemetery that can hurt you. His response was this. "O I know that but there is an awful lot of things in that cemetery that will make me hurt myself."
You ever been so sacred you ran and didn't care what happen you just knew you had to get out of there. But once you stopped you realized you are all cut up from bushes and trees scratches or you hurt your feet from running. Maybe even felt like you just had a tiny heart attack because of it.
Now imagine you are in the dark in a grave yard and you are in a hole 6ft deep and 8 feet long and 3 feet wide. You are tired from digging that hole with a shovel. You might even be a bit drunk to "calm your nerves" from being there at night. You go to climb the ladder to pull yourself out and just as your head peeks over the top of the hole there is a pair of muddy shoes. Now remember its pitch black and the only light is a lantern and the moon. And you are already spooked by being in a graveyard at night. Now what do you think will be your response?
Not to mention you can't just make a stright line for the gate. This is a old small town graveyard. The graves are all over the place. So you have to zip and zag and chances are you are going to crack a hip on a tombstone or just flat out trip over it. That or you are going to have to thi k of them as hurdles and sprint over them. lol
So yeah he no dig graves at night lol
