Fuck life guards!
I was 12 years old and went to a city pool with friends. My Dad droped us off and would come back for us when we were ready. It was a small pool place most I ever seen there was 20 people. Well I didn't know how to really swim I was fine if I could touch bottom. I was in the 4ft next to the drop off. It goes 4ft than stright to 8ft no slope just stright drop.
Some little fucker shoved me into the deep and I sank like a ton of bricks the only thing keeping me barly alive is once I hit bottom I push off it with all my might and break the surface of the water to take a half water half air breath. I'm also screaming help each time. My best friend saved my life she grabbed me on one of the push offs and dragged me to 4ft I was gasping for air and crying uncontrollably. ALL THIS FUCKING HAPPEN ONE GOD DAMN FOOT FROM A LIFE GAURD!!!!!! I CHEWED THE FUCKER OUT WHILE I WAS STILL CRYING. HOW DARE YOU I NEARLY DIED YOU SON OF A BITCH.
Thats right I called him a son of a bitch
when I was 12. He told me I was horsing around and I needed to leave. I went to the front called my Dad told him what happen. My Dad was a State firemarshal at the time. He stormed in there and demanded to see the owner/manger and the fucker who almost let me die. He blasted them with warnings of shuting them down due to safety if they didnt teach the life guards better. Turned out not a one knew cpr or took a course in how to be a lifeguard.
See the place was a fence built around a pool that once went to house. The owner bought it and sells tickets to swim. Next time we went there all the life gaurds were new the place was redone and looked alot safer.
My Dad made sure no other kids got hurt there. He really was a super hero.
Who downvoted me what for this really happen. I never EVER lie on here. I nearly died due to this guy not realizing that a 12 yr old was drowning right infront of them. It took my Dad to yell at them for them to even put up safty ropes.
No ropes, no warning signs, not even one precaution if a fire broke out. They even had cleaning problems like fungus growing in the bathrooms. Also in the little hut that they sold food in, turned out they didn't even have a permit to sell cooked food. My Dad called all his buddies from different departments and had them look into the place. After that the place was safer than the real city public pool. They even made a sign in system to make sure kids were not kidnapped. If a kid under 18 was to stay there with out adults even if the kid had friends with them it didn't matter an adult had to sign them in and the same adult had to sign them out.
I can't really agree with this, because if a life guard was judgmental or against somebody's views or life choices they could just kill them because they don't like the fact that the victim is gay or an atheist or whatever.
As a lifeguard myself....I could get sent to prison if I don't do my job properly and am found to be at fault in the event of an accident. Our job is more than just sitting in a chair all day!
