Men are victims of domestic abuse just as much as women are; the number of victims per gender are about the same. However, men are much less likely to report it.
*raises hand* I was a victim, still bear the scars and not just the physical ones either, my son was also abused at the same time and he was only months old, thankfully he doesn't remember it and will never experience it AGAIN nor will he dish it out!
Thanks, I really am a better person for the experience though, despite the stress disorder and related health issues, I've learned that it is 1000% better to be alone than to spend one minute in an abusive area, since I ditched her and took over raising my son I've got a great job, bought a nice (although used) car and unfortunately inherited a home from my mother although I could certainly have been just as happy without the last part. I'm not a coward for asking for help and I'm not less of a man because I didn't 'stick up for myself'
Yes, 4 of 5 are women. Nobody's trying to "win" with a higher number, just pointing out its not,one sided completely. A man subjected to domestic violence gets no comfort because "his side" is ahead in violence.
hard hard clap
