Didnt america intervene in South Korea? I've lived in Seoul, I would say it turned out pretty great. Although a lot of it is due to how hard working Koreans are.

South Korea was almost wiped off the map, but a mostly American intervention pushed North Korea all the way to China.

No. No the world does not. I have seen very few times where countries have openly asked for help (military) in modern times.

Define modern. Afghanistan and Iraq asked for help with ISIS a few years ago. What about Kuwait before then? The Mujahideen? South Vietnam? North Vietnam before them. Plenty of nations have asked for help in the last few decades.
