This is kinda lacking instructions.
Those would be kinda nice so I don't burn a hole in a few shirts.

I think you lay out your design, cover it with wax paper, and iron on low-medium heat

Yes, but for how long? And how long does the design last on the shirt? What type of shirt? Cotton? Polyester? Wool? I know it matters.

Probably a cotton shirt. For idk 1 or 2 minutes..it doesnt take long to melt colored pencil.

To melt the the pencil wax, no. But to ensure it's absorbed into the shirt?

Idk, everything I've read says iron until wax is melted. Wash inside out in cold water(30°), do not put in dryer. And you can also do this with crayons
