Toxoplasma gondii is a parasite that spends part of its life in rats & part in cats. Cats get infected when they eat infected rats. To get itself into the cat, T. gondii does something to the rats that makes them attracted to cats, so they run towards rather than away from cats. Your cat could be soon infected with T. gondii if you see this.
Oh, one more thing, T. gondii can be quite nasty in humans.
