One interesting detail for me about this, is that I'll need to rewrite a couple small portions if the sci-fi that I write.
I have two characters who are snipers and they both have landed shots in training inexcess of 3200 meters, with kills at distances that are classified.
Looks like I might need to bump that up a little.
Well, yeah... but it's not about Canada per se, it's just staying on top of current events.
When I first wrote these pieces in question, it was between 3-6 years ago. With a record at the time being about 2400, I thought 3200 seemed like an impressive yet unattainable distance with current technology.
Looks like I was sorely wrong.
These two characters may or may not be Canadian in origin either. The stories take place roughly 250 years in the future at the edge of human expansion into space.
Both are/were from frontier colony worlds.
