For those of you in LDRs, I wish you the best of luck. I really, really do. I've tried them and while in the long run, none of them worked for me... that doesn't mean it won't for you.
It's hard enough in this world finding something... finding someone worth fighting for, finding that person that completes you.
For those of you that do, but find yourself facing an LDR, I say go for it.
What's the worst that can happen? It doesn't work out and you don't keep each other in your lives? How is that different from not taking the shot?
I like to think about what Otis from the Last Starfighter said when it comes to these things:
"Things change. Always do. You'll get your chance! Important thing is, when it comes, you gotta grab it with both hands and hold on tight!"
I know this is meant to be for romance but I honestly feel this way about one of my best friends. :(
.
He doesn't live too far away but far enough that I can't see him often. So I miss him so much, especially when I'm having a rough time.
He's gay. And I'm female. Plus there's not much attraction, I just love him and miss him and wish we could spend more time together, as opposed to the once or twice a year that it is typically.
this post makes me really happy, my boyfriend is in canada and im stuck in the southern US, and a lot of the people i know dont take our relationship seriously or as valid even though we've been together for over a year. thank you
A Southerner and a Canadian? How about some maple syrup on them grits? :D
I say that in jest lovingly, I'm a New Englander who lived in the south and I did exactly that on occasion, maple syrup on my grits.

But hey, still an awesome friend, right?

But every once in a very rare while, I'd put a bit of syrup in there... but only if I had real Maple Syrup. Not that artificial corn syrup nonsense.
