He was homeless and had to steal, but she kept him from doing bad, took him with her to her grandma where he then kinda moved in. They both didn't go to school, but she always dreamt of graduating. One day she got very sick, but no one wanted to help them, so she died. He then went to the school to beg them to let him in - and they did. So he fulfilled said dream of graduating in her place and that's when he saw her ghost, who celebrated him for making it.
