I feel like I'm the only person who'd rather drive than put my life in the hands of a computer. It's statistically safer? Never tell me the odds!

I'd rather drive myself as well, but computers would be safer drivers; computers don't text and drive, they don't drink and drive, and don't have road rage.

They react faster and can look in every direction at the same time. If every car was self driving that would mean they could all interact with each other and remove any chance of a mistake or an accident.

I wouldn't say any chance, but it would be significantly safer.

I'd personally rather not have a self-driving car. Driving keeps my mind occupied on a long trip, so I would just hate to sit there and keep watch in the small chance that the computer's AI would malfunction.
