taking full responsibility won't get you out of a ticket and is in fact the worst thing you could do... just STFU. If you take it to court they have to prove you are guilty and half the time the cop won't even show up.

Oooooor... I can use the justice system and get out of a $500 ticket because paying $500 when I stopped for 2 seconds instead of 3 is FAR more of an inconvenience on my life than the cops or the judges... they'll be at work either way.

Also, my STFU in the first post wasn't at anyone... I was just saying shutting the F up is the best thing you can do while being issued a ticket.
