I'll bet that this is what happened:
A survey among women revealed that *some *occasionally *might appreciate some form of light to moderate flirting or light weight sexually suggestive comments or innuendo wordplay as it *may bolster their confidence in their self image.
*Which actually has nothing to do with at all their interest in the person making said comments.
The survey further revealed that there was an even smaller number respondents the reported that they found enjoyment when those comments were overt and directly sexual, lewd, and even verging on the obscene.
*Still has nothing to do do with their interest.
Now, because there are some women out there who are as dirty as I like my martinis... some schmuck who doesn't know how to interpret data and do proper reporting on science, takes this and runs with it, blowing it WAY out of proportion.
