I dont think racing is a sport i dont think its cool but i think it doesnt fit in the realm of sports. I think it should be in an area by itself cause pretty much every sport is based on the physicality of the people playing the game.
Well the main physical part of it is the car I think that for something to be a sport it needs to be the person doing the most work. Sports are ways for people to see the limits of physicality of people. Baseball, Soccer, Football, Basketball and sports like that are these super athletic specimen which do amazing physical things. Racing takes talent but i do not think it belongs in the same league since the car is doing most of the work. I am not saying its not enjoyable or takes skill im saying it should not be put into the same realm as the other sports.
It is kind of its own thing. The only race you see at big events like the Olympics are things like bike racing, which kinda bridge the gap between racing and other sports.
Well all im saying is stuff like motocross or f1 or any type of racing where the main workhorse is the vehicle it should be in a league of its own.I mean boxing basketball football and stuff like that is really all you I am not saying they dont work hard or they arent skilled by any means but what im saying is there should be a difference when defining sports because 1 is all 100 percent you and your body and 2 is requiring a lot of the machine im just saying they shouldnt really define it as a sport.
I know but you are relying a lot on something that is not a part of you. A car breaks down or the horse pulls something you are done. whereas in a sport your racket brakes or your ball is flat doesnt mean the game is over you know. I just think racing should be in a league of its own not in the same league as other sports. I am not saying they are lesser but just that racing and stuff like that is a lot less physical and should be in a league of its own because the other sports are similar but racing seems a little more far apart than the others are to each other.
the point is that you have to be in peak physical condition to drive a car that fast and bank that fast... much less do it for 4+ hours. I consider it a sport... just with super expensive equipment.
