My guess is she fell against one of the stands and that caused a domino effect, and the crowns were damaged by falling, imagine dropping a plate on the ground

She was taking a selfie, lost her balance, hit one of the pedestals, which caused a domino effect to the rest of pedestals. There's a video of the whole thing. It looks a bit staged.

Most likely FAKE. Also, most Modern art is rubbish. Worth $20 more like it. Narcissism and self delusion of artists, overinflates prices. Silly artist.
