I got told off once for doodling in my notebook instead of copying lecture notes from the PowerPoint but I'd studied the PowerPoint the night before and already had my notes cuz I could never keep up in class but the teacher wouldn't listen and just kept saying she didn't want to hear my excuses so I got banished to the hall and spent the rest of that class period reading a book

I went to a private school growing up and it was in the school rules to not be on your cell during class time or even have it on you for that matter. It's still so strange to think that just having them and being on them in class was a thing.
That being said, it didn't stop a bunch of guys from ordering pizza during drama class... or hiding from the drama teacher in the benches we sat on... or writing the Bohemian Rhapsody in permanent marker on the white board...

I had a science teacher that was a total bitch to everyone. She was the kind of teacher that made you feel bad for asking a question, saying that it was your fault that you didn't understand her teaching method, which was literally only taking notes, nothing else. Anyways we had this guy named Micheal and him and her would argue literally everyday. About grades, where he was sitting, football practice, his phone, you name it and they argued about it.
That really sucks. I'm a teacher and I try to teach in several different ways so hopefully my students can understand it. I never have them just take notes
Let me background by saying I teach in a New York City public school so there are ALOT of insane moments.
My first day I was told I would not be respected by my students (mostly black and Hispanic) because I'm a "white bitch."
I had a kid ask me in the middle of teaching photosynthesis why he got banned from the NBA 2K17 servers. Turns out he used a proxy and played on European servers. Not sure why photosynthesis made him think of that.
I had a kid beg me to use the bathroom. He said it was an emergency so I let him go. He came back 15 minutes later smelling like weed and with half a pie from Dominos.
A students answer on a quiz once was "the old secret testosterone." Surprisingly testosterone was correct.
There are probably so many more but I'm in summer mode and haven't thought about anything productive in a month
Once had a teacher who had no issue with using me, aged 7 at the time, to run her errands. She made me do everything from go out of class and fetch documents, photocopy stuff etc. Then she'd be all sweet to me and telling I can always come rk her for help cause I was a goody goody only to tell me to stop tattle talling when I told her the kids were bullying me again. Not just teasing but pulling my hair etc.
I mean, they didnt even have to sign it. If they did thats their own business hut if he threatened them it wouldn't be legally binding because there's some law that said something along the lines of if you're forced to sign something against your will/with fear of repercussions then its not binding.
