Yes!!! I eat mostly vegetarian and sometimes vegan but hate imitation stuff. Plus it's mostly chemicals so probably not healthy. It can be great if the cook is good though.
Because many people become vegan for ethical reasons. So, if there is food that they're used to eating but made from soy instead, it can make the transition a bit easier.

And may I add the opposite is also true (in regards to people being assholes) i have had more annoging comments from meat eaters than vegans/vegetarian friends. I don't criticize either side but some meat eaters start making jokes about how stupid it is and how bacon is soooo amazing (was never a fan really even when eating ham) it gets really annoying. I don't talk to them about it, i don't try to " convert" them and I'm not picky i just eat w/e I can or bring my food. And still they act like if i'm forcing them to be like me.
Many cows are stuffed full of hormones to produce milk, which isn't healthy for the cows at all. Plus, instead of roaming free, they're still held in captivity. And even though I'm not vegan or vegetarian, I prefer almond milk, because drinking another animal's tiddy milk seems a bit wrong to me.
Basically vegans are against any animal products even if it just cimes from an animal. Either because they think we shouldn't eat it or because of animal rights like mentiines, many farms or producers basically torture cows and chickens for milk and eggs. For example, I eat eggs but i buy humaine raised. I know might be BS but i hope is not. It ia better if I can get local small farms they tend to be humaine raised. A vegan would just not eat eggs.
