I know, as an absolute fact, that Unicorns haven't existed within the last 10000 years. I also know, for a fact, that the Earth is billions of years old. That's about a few billion more than what the Bible claims. Also, where in the Bible does it say that the serpent is Satan? Where is the Garden of Eden.
There are so many flaws with that single statement - allow me to list them. Unicorns have not existed in the past ten thousand years at a minimum and how do you know they did? Where have we ever seen evidence of Satan? So you admit that The Bible has a talking snake? Why aren't those around anymore? Where is The Garden of Eden? We have mapped the entire Middle East and it hasn't been discovered. It's almost as if ancient desert people just wrote about it in a book on a whim.
I'm pretty sure you can safely say that unicorns never existed, otherwise we'd have found proof that they did by now.
With the talking snake, it's already been explained that there was only one, and that it was the devil in disguise. It literally says this in the very beginning.
And if you do some research, you're able to find out that the garden of Eden was probably somewhere around Lebanon
Evidence of satan for christians is sin in general. I can say though just because we havent found it doesnt mean it doesnt exist heck there are probably tons of species that have existed which have yet to be discovered. You can assume they dont exist like i can assume they did and neither of us can say otherwise. You can say desert people wrote it on a whim and i can say it was inspired by god we can both say things but neither of us can prove it.
So because there is no talking snakes currently couldnt have happened because this book mentions a creature that was long ago that we dont have now it disproves the book. Because we dont have a god coming down from the heavens currently a big bang created all of life.
Thank you. There are a couple of reasons to follow religion. Answers to life questions such as "why am I here?", "How should I act to achieve the best possible life?", "how should I treat others?", "how did the world came to be?" And more. Now some of these questions have been answered by science relatively recently however the religious answers have been trusted for so long that people won't just leave behind all that so quickly. Tradition and comradeship are very strong in any religion, being religious means being a part of something bigger.
A lot of people take comfort in the thought that there would be one or more gods. They may even need that comfort as their living conditions might not be all that great.
A religious figure can also serve as a role model much like how someone like sailor moon impacts children and adults. Since we don't know much about how for example Jesus acted (if he actually existed that is) we are free to use and modify his character to prove a point.
I ran out of characters haha sorry for rambling. But yeah like, "now now Timmy, would Jesus cheat on his math test?" "Noo he wouldn't, Jesus is honest".
Religion often have rules as well which are usually pretty sensible, "don't be an arse" and all that.
Ofcourse it's not unusual for religion to turn sour for some people, like a homosexual growing up in a household that think homosexuality is a sin, people acting like they always know best because they think that there's a guy up in the clouds or even cults.
but there's always gonna be a downside to everything.
Disproving the bible isnt really disproving the existence of god
