Yeah, it is a real article and there's a video for it. I don't really remember what the article says, but there was some scientific explanation for it, I believe. (The title is a little misleading though, because the baby didn't just sit up and start walking on it's own. It was held up by and nurse and the baby attempted to walk.)
Its a reflex, and its normal (I forget the name for it) but it's part of the testing done after birth to make sure the baby is healthy, I was in the nursery when they did all this with my kid.
