I'd actually explain it too him... but he wouldn't listen. The fact people like his music and try to justify that rap isn't dead with it disheartens me. He's as far away as old school hip-hop as Lil Wayne or Macklemore are.

old hip hop isnt the only good hip hop like honestly he has good songs. Be humble was good af and so was DNA at least half of it. I really like the weekend too. Its a different type of rap so you cant compare it most of the old school rap that everyone thought was the best it was all just gangster rap. This isnt gangster rap but its good in its own way. His songs would not rise up if they werent good.

Atmosphere, Brother Ali... basically all the Rhymesayers > Lamar.... and they all have various styles. I never once said gangster rap. Gangster rap =/= old school hip hop.

I didnt say you said gangster rap i said though gangster rap biggie and tupac is the time period when everyone said that rap was at its highest peak. Atmosphere has good songs spose is another guy who has good songs but really i mean you got new guys on the block who have good songs and good large followings and people like it some guy who has millions of people and selling out places is not trash since millions of people like his shiz. Honestly I like rappers like spose i like the weekend and i have listend to I spy because i thought it was a good song and so did lots of other people. Dj khaled i think has good music too.

Idk man... Logic is about the only new rapper I can get into... but hey man, this is all personal opinion. Do me a favor though, start using periods.... that was some tough reading.

Not-so-fun fact: Hurricanes with female names kill more people. Not because they're more deadly, the names are chosen according to some system which is not based on the hurricane's force at all, but actually because people underestimate the hurricane when it has a female name and don't take it as seriously as if it had the male version of the same name.
