That does look weird, but realistically that's better than having four people try to look at the same tiny screen.

Yeah, but the whole point of a split screen is so that every player can see their own character. If everyone has their own screen, and everyone is looking only at their own character, then the split screen is useless and their fraction of the screen should in fact be full screen.

Yeah, I know, you can do that in the game. I'm not even sure you can pull off what they're showing in the picture.
