This is Kingda Ka at Six Flags in New Jersey. If you want to ride it make sure you go on a beautiful day. They close it if it's too windy out. Plus it's usually super crowded, over a two hour wait each time I went. I never got a chance to ride it :(
Sooo...Last time I rode Kingda I was with my cousin and we were reading the signs about how it sometimes doesn't make it all the way up and will drop you backwards. She had never rode it and was terrified. I was pumped and WANTED to see if it would go backwards. It did, she literally peed herself. She hates me now.
It was almost closing time, I rode a small rollercoaster, maybe just 30m high, for one round and I seriously felt enough. BUT the kids in front of me, barely even 13 i guess, kept asking for more and I resisted the urge to scream to be let down, because of my stupid pride. Then the operator just kept it going for another 2 additional rounds of it. And another one. And another one. And yup I threw up after but I did maintain what's left of my pride as an adult.
There is little to no danger riding rides like this, they are a thrill but inherently boring. There is so much planning, testing and over the top engineering in these rides it baffles me when people think they are "scary" or that it takes a daredevil to ride on it. Go ride the HammerHeads and Zippers at your local county fair that are basically a glorified semi-trailer if you want a taste of being a daredevil.

The feel of falling is what i hate. Thats why im afraid to go on rides like these. Just because its safe doesnt mean its not scary
You have control over it, just to weak mentally to overcome an irrational fear that doesn't even apply to this ride. It's not like you're standing on the edge of the Grand Canyon, you're strapped into a car that's connected to rails. Once you experience it you'll realize how unscarey it really is. It's fun.

Nah
Its not the fear of safety or the ride will break
I just dont like that sensation of falling
Because it's just a pathetic fear. The world is becoming more and more pathetic and weak. Whatever happened to overcoming your fears? Pretty soon a fear of heights or falling will becoming a "disability" and skyscrapers will become offensive, stupid example but you get the gist. Stop enabling weakness, teach people to overcome weaknesses and fears and better themselves. Stop holding yourself back from experiencing something fun and new just because it might make you a little uncomfortable for a few moments. Irrational fears are just pathetic, ie: when somebody sees a random harmless garden spider and they freeze up, like seriously? If it was a black widow then yeah, be cautious and avoid but a silly little bug just living it's own life completely unaware of your existence? Just let it go and move on.
You're saying that you have no fears, non whatsoever?

So having a fear that i cant control is being weak
And how is that affecting you
I just avoid the rollercoasters i dont wanna go on
Dont be pissy just because not everyone like the same things as you
I mean, obviously if I'm standing on the edge a cliff I'll be cautious to avoid falling because I don't want to die, but if I have a parachute on then I'll jump off that cliff without much hesitation.
You CAN control it, you CHOOSE not to. That's what's weak. When I was little I was afraid of things but if you face your fears head on and conquer them then they aren't fears anymore.

It sounds like your overconfidence will be the death of you
I'm not overconfident, I'm aware of my abilities because I've pushed them to the edge and beyond. I don't sit on my couch wrapped in bubble wrap afraid of all the things that can kill me. Anything can and will kill you eventually, I'm gunna live my life and enjoy the fuck out of it and when it's my time then it's my time.

Nah you cant always control your emotions
What you mean is that i could do it if i wanted to, and i could
But why would i want to
Because it's harmless and why not? God forbid you experience something new right?

Im not experiencing something new, ive been on rollercoasters before, theyre cool
And that doesnt really seem like a good enough reason to berate someone on the internet just because they dont wanna do the things you want to do
Or want them to do
And you replied to my comment, don't reply disagreeing with soembody if you don't want a discussion. And I'm not berating you, just giving my opinion on the topic, if my words are a little harsh for you then that's your problem.

And whats the point
Waste $50 for a ticket to this park just to ride something im not enthusiastic about
Even if i get past my "fear" that doesnt mean ill love it
Rollercoasters are always just "meh" to me
Being bigger and faster wont change that

Idk how im not discussing, the point is youre worked up with something that has little to do with you and seems unnecessary
Listen dude, all I'm trying to say is try something that scares you once in a while. Doesn't have to be roller coasters, just try new things, makes life that much better.

That point i can get behind, if something seems like a fun experience, im not going to let my fear stop me
Spotted the guy who is obviously extremely terrified by emotions and weakness. Standing on a 300 ft cliff is nothing compared to your vulnerable own very self.
