The climate change models have been wrong fairly consistently, though, leaving NASA and climatologists struggling to come up with answers as to why the actual climate doesn't match the models they keep warning everyone about. I'm pretty sure there's a different set of tools used to "predict" future climate than the ones used to calculate an eclipse. Which would explain why the date and time for the eclipse didn't change 3 or 4 times.
Yes, because the predictions have been off by 99%. Just because the exact prediction doesn't come true doesn't mean there's a trend that can't be followed. That trend is going up when it comes to temperature. It's also not wrong to change the models when presented with new facts or answers. That's what science if about. Climate change is real and there's more proof of it happening than there's counter "proof" of it not happening.

Why does everyone have to find a way to make a cheap shot out of everything
On earth, there's lots of shit to get in the way. There's so many particles, tall building, rising heat, and water vapor. And a fuck ton of other things. All these things drastically effect the weather and reality here on earth.
In the surrounding space though, there's not a lot that can get in the way. And everything that can doesn't wanna move to do so.
TL;DR
Space is a much more controlled environment than the atmosphere of earth.
It's difficult to not notice the big shadow from the sky. You'd be hard pressed to walk outside amd observe the climate changeing. Nice try though Neil.
Wheather or not it's been observed is irrelevant. The point is that a big ass shadow in the middle of the day is a lot harder to deny than claims of things that you can't observe in 3 seconds after stepping outside.
Ah, that makes sense.
.
Predictions of eclipses, commets, or many other astrological events have rarely been wrong. But there are pages of false claims and predictions about global warmin.....uh, i mean climate change.
Regardless of whether or not you believe in climate change (which is scientifically true), the way we are living on this planet is undeniably unsustainable
Ok, for all of you guys out there, you do realize that when they did the, 9/10 scientists believe in climate change, or that climate change is real shit, they asked people like biologists and biochemists right? Not exclusively people like meteorologists which actually know what the fuck they're talking about
Excellent analogy. The eclipse was caused by the natural cycles of heavenly bodies, not by man. The sun also has hotter/cooler cycles, and the earth has gone through many warnings and ice ages, none caused by man.
BAM! Not the point you intended to make, Neil deGrasse Tyson.
I will never cease to be amazed at the mental gymnastics a certain group of people will attempt in order to maintain that tenuous grasp on their worldview.
