Hackers also use infrared cameras. One guy will stand behind you and as soon as you're done, they snap a pic and the buttons you use to put in your pin are slightly warmer than the rest. Another guy picks your pocket and grabs your wallet. Bye bye savings. I worked at a gas station for a year and we found skimmers on the credit swipers on the pumps. At least one a week. I'll never use those pay at pump things ever again.

That's why after typing my pin, I type every other key as well.

But unless they steal your credit card too having your pincode is useless.

@third its more efficient if you just lay your hand on every button at the same time and wait 10 seconds. then every button have the same temperature. if you just press single buttons you can still see which ones are the right ones. lowest temperature + warmer than not used parts of the keyboard = buttons you pressed first.

Well, I don't just push every one, I do and then I rapidly type random numbers to really mess it up. I guess your way is a little easier though.

Mostly, mine works with an isolated keypad, like a home security one, that will always use the same code, and oil buildup will identify the nessecary numbers.

there's an easier way to this... they sometimes put on a fake money slit in front of the real one. you withdraw cash, the fake slit captures the bills, and the machine thinks you've taken the money out. all the while, you're heading out to the closest branch to complain about the atm
