I have a friend who used to study trophology and they were shown a study about eggs. If differs (A LOT) from country to country (and region) if people prefer white or brown eggs. Naturally stores will make the popular colour more expensive. I prefer brown eggs btw (I know there's no actual difference) as do almost 70% of all Germans.

I almost never see white eggs, I used to think America bleached their eggs or something
This needs the rest of the naturally occuring chicken egg colors (red, pink, tan, blue, green - fresheggsdaily.com/2012/02/rainbow-of-egg-colors.html has some nice images) - varies by breed/earlobes are an indicator of the color egg you'll get
Also I think white ones are organic when the brown ones industrial
