What's wrong with playing Skyrim

Bunch of racial purist dickheads.

I don't believe they're /actually/ racist. I think they're assholes, playing both sides, and actively wanted a civil war in Skyrim, so that they would weaken themselves, to the point where they could never uprise against the Dominion. Basically, they're one step ahead all the time, and using racism, and gods as tool to make conflict.

If you perform infanticide as well as selective breeding to keep your species "pure", I'm pretty sure your racist along with that crap.

Nope. The conflict tears Skyrim apart. No matter who you side with, either they're too busy fighting each other to go against the Thalmor, or you defeat one side, and weaken the entirety of Skyrim by an entire military force, so they can't even try to go up against the Thalmor, since they are still at their full power with superior numbers, and magic forces.

The empire is more than just Skyrim though. If you read the dossiers you pick up from the embassy, you find out the elves are actually hoping the Stormcloaks win the war, because a fractured Skyrim will be easier to control.

That's why you make peace with both factions
