The sun is 400 times larger than the moon while the moon is 400 times closer to us than the sun is. Makes you realize just how lucky we are to have eclipses at all.

OK, the sun is indeed roughly 400 times larger in DIAMETER than the moon. I had to check, cause I know it's WAY more massive than that and I had to make sure I hadn't gone insane.
